What millenials want?

June 11th, 2016 10:08 PM by Sam Kader

Generally speaking, millenial generation wants good looks at good prices. Millenials fancy what's available on design sites such as Pinterest; Houzz; Remodelista; Ikea, CB2 and Design Within Reach.
Mixing new and old, expensive and cheap, DIY and purchased. Millenials tend to have eclectic styles ad are also conscientious of the final products. There is not single millenial design look with pieces not needing an authentic pedigree - just the look and industrial looks seem to the the favorite. New grays have become a standard base along with more whitewashed gray variations with bolder pops of color on accent walls as counterpoint and colorful wallpapers are also making a comeback. Personalized everything - millenials usually work on a limited budget. They decorate not to impress others but rather look to objects that can't be found elsewhere.
Comfortably classy with bigger sofas with sectionals and extended chaises to lounge with friends and watch TV.
Collection reach from affordable sources such as 20x200, Etsy, and other online marketplace for handmade objects.
Fast service. Millenials order from Amazom prime with next day delivery and do not wait 8 to 12 weeks for delivery.
Easy disposability. When it's time to get rid of items - they go to Craigslist and eBay without hesitation or donate it to Habitat for Humanity.
